What is Suspension Strength?
Suspension Strength is a full-body strength training program that will challenge your strength and improve your balance and stability with an exciting variety of exercises using a suspension trainer and dumbbells.
Because many of the suspension trainer exercises require some strength and balance, this program looks simple but is actually for intermediate-advanced fitness levels!
What is involved in Suspension Strength?
You will be provided with the following goals each week:
- 3 x Resistance sessions (4 available)
- 1 x Cardio sessions ( 3 available )
- 1 x Recovery session
What equipment will I need to complete Suspension Strength?
This program can be completed at home or in a gym. The below equipment will be required to complete the workouts:
- Suspension Trainer
- Dumbbells- Light, Medium and Heavy
- Yoga Mat
If you don’t have access to some equipment, you can always use the ‘exercise substitution’ feature in the Sweat app to substitute equipment in and out.
How do the workouts work?
You have three 30-40 minute workouts each week - Lower Body, Upper Body, and Full Body - plus an optional fourth Core session. The workouts are structured with a primer, supersets and burnout to finish, with lots of slow and controlled movements for your muscles to have maximum time under tension.
